    What I'd do if I wanted one, is grab a Slim that's CFW compatible and has a decent sized HDD, then mod it and just hang onto that. I do currently own a Super Slim, but I don't really want it and those can't be modded anyway, so I just plan on selling it.

    Unless you're looking for a limited edition model, you shouldn't have to worry about crazy prices. The console is only going obsolete, it's not becoming a collector's item. Just like any other older console, you should be able to find them for cheap, reasonable prices.
