I personally prefer having to unlock certain things, mainly costumes and a few extra characters. It adds to the replay value and forces me to try characters I otherwise wouldn't touch. For the IGN 12 days DOA5, today through Friday is supposed to consist of match videos. From what I've read the DOA5 character model is built from the CG models. Sega provided TN with all the character assets. TN simply tweaked them to fit into the DOA setting. The models in DOA are from the CG assets, not the in-game of VF. You'll notice the same with Akira. We should see...

The anti-aliasing seems to have improved and overall the textures just seem sharper with more depth. Especially when compared to the alpha demo.
