I don't feel like they're really that distracting myself. No more so than the blood stains in Dark Souls and they're actually useful here. You can get excellent loot early on by fighting and killing the Revenants.

@DestructionBomb you dispel Yokai tainted areas with a perfect Ki pulse. Don't need to stance switch, just have to hit R1 right when the red refills.

Do you mean the sword skill? It doesn't do much outside of group fights against humans. I'd rather spend that time going for a parry or battering down their guard.

She and Robert only showed up because the writer of the original wrote NG3. That's about it. And she's utterly inconsequential to the current timeline for Ninja Gaiden so I'm not exactly bothered by any further exclusion.

She's on top of the bigger building near where you get the East Gate Key in the second level. You need to kill a non-respawning Yokai and then climb up a tree. There's an item up there, a chest with the rarer thrown explosive, a ninja that ambushes you, and you can jump off of that roof onto one...
