What makes the most sense to me is that she may have learned those moves while on her personal journey after dragon sword. She may have trained with hayate a bit knowing he's a good friend of ryus.

The game not being at evo doesn't really have to do with this. Evo is pretty much all 2d fighters besides tekken. Soul calibur won't be there this year, neither will VF.
