And she isn't a nobody she is highly popular in Ninja Gaiden, Warriors Orochi and she was highly requested and wanted for DOA5U. The game didn't even come out yet and she is loved on DOA5U as well.
And although she assist Ryu, has ninja abilities, ans has ninjutsu mixed with Akido, she is a shrine maiden not a ninja

It makes me mad how DOA5 is a slower game.
DOA is known for it's "fast paced fighting" but DOA5 is so much slower.
How hard is it for Team Ninja to make the game faster, to classic DOA standards?

Only DOA4 was faster. The other DOA games were even slower than DOA5 is.

None of the ninja characters actually practice "ninja" as a profession. Hayabusa wages one-man wars against fiends (something Momiji also does), Kasumi ran away and hides in exile (only to come out and fawn over her own brother), and Hayate is either sipping amnesia juice or making decisions to leave the village all the time (something that at the time Kasumi did it was considered treason punishable by death). The only one somewhat close is Ayane in the NG series.
"Ninjas" in DOA are defined by people living in Japanese village-clans practicing ninjutsu and ninpo. By that logic, Momiji is a ninja as much as any of the others.

There are the idol costumes as well as the sexy swimsuits and racer outfits, but only been confirmed for japan as pre order thought. I know we'll get them eventually as dlc but I really hope one of them are for pre order in the western regions. It wouldn't be fair if Japan got 4 CE's and pre order costumes and we get absolutely nothing

Lots of options for that outfit beyond "Ninja", to be honest. "Hooker" comes to mind. Or a dominatrix. Or just a leather fetishist.
