Wasn't there a bug in 1.04a that stopped things unlocking? (Supposed to be fixed in 1.06 - everything owing to you should cycle after you log-in, post-patch.)
My son's been in trauma and orthopaedic for six or seven years, now.
The shit I could tell you :(
NHS might be free in the UK, but the staff aren't. Some fucks need to learn basic common decency and respect.
The shit NRS pulled with MK11's production and contract staff... Vomit-worthy:

I didn't say I liked the way it looked :p It's shit. A band aid version of something that could be more refined, and more in-keeping with each costume's style.
But it is getting positive comments from some people. Even in this state. If that translates to more players, or more organisations...
I dunno, I'm seeing a positive response on twitter and in-game.
It's not something designed for existing fans of the series, mind, so... *shrugs*
More opponent is better from where I'm standing.
Patchnotes say further changes are coming in 1.05. I don't take that as SSA being reverted due to whining - just that they came up with a better idea while 1.04a was in cert.
Opting to remove the change after the fact, suggests to me that it was either a mistake - leaving the change in the main code branch - or that something came up in testing while 1.04a was out for console cert. Either possibility says that they're scrambling to salvage the mess, so yeah.
I'm...
That's not staying:

The following will be resolved in the next patch:
• When landing a Throw or Offensive Hold on a Side Attack or its recovery, counter status occurs.
• Counter status also occurs when a player lands an Offensive...
God knows Square could do with a similar change of ethic, lol.
I love Japan and it's language, don't get me wrong, but some of the shit I see when I'm there both confounds and really repulses me.
Not that the west isn't full of dumb shit too, but jeez, can we all start learning from each other...
There's got to be someone on staff who had a similar reaction to stuff like the EVO slot, who might have raised a hand if they hadn't expected to be immediately shot down, out of "respect" for the more senior staffer's plan.
The part in that interview about encouraging junior developers to speak up is important to me. Respect culture in Japanese offices can be a real stifle on sensible feedback, so hopefully if that sentiment is real and acted on, messes like this launch can be avoided in future.
