Well, I interpret that as just a statement that Ein doesn't exist anymore, not how she feels. Hitomi knows it in her head, doesn't mean she has accepted it in her heart. However, she's most likely to get over it eventually.

Because Hitomi is not a ninja. :P Edit: to be reasonable though, I see Hayate going for someone like Irene too. Or someone who's not a fighter at all.

We all know eventually Jann Lee is gonna realize something about Leifang. We all watched enough anime. Same with Hayate. (Though I must say, I don't like Hitomi too much, but the poor thing deserves better :< )

Her voice sounds slightly different to me oO keyword being slightly though.

LOL I always saw Ryu AT MOST as a parental figure towards Kasumi/Ayane. And it's quite clear why he matches Irene so well.
