    DOA5LR NEC 3v3 Team Tournament

Ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of the year again where you should start thinking about who should be on your team for the 3v3 team tournament at NEC. Last year was a success, so let's do it again! Here are the rules: 1. Permanent character lock. This means when you register for the...

DOA5LR: Mai Shiranui Unholdable Power Blow Setups

Have you tested the timing different when a character techs down or up from the wall instead of back towards the wall? Timing is different in that case. Most people, when teching from a wall knock down, will be teching up or down in order to get their back away from the wall. If those set ups...

here's my gameplay show me what's good and bad

Go through the command training of the opponent you have trouble against. You can see the height of each attack in the command training by the little triangle that is over layed on the P, K, T, or H button. If the triangle is pointed up, it's a high strike. Pointing right, it's a mid...

Wazaa hit the first item on the head. You're not blocking. You're happy on the buttons, even at the range where you know your attack is not going to land. Hayate is the best at medium to long range to open you up. You HAVE to make him come to you. Personally, I find it to be one of Brad's...

You have faster recovery with Palm and it's only .5 less knock back. I think you make up for that distance in the jabs and 6kp though.

Rewatching saved replays. What to look for?

I watch my replays mainly to see how I'm coping with spacing. Am I using moves too haphazardly? What strings can I whiff punish? What strings do I fall for? Am I going to HAM without a plan? ect. It's all the stuff you look for that you don't realize you're doing until you watch yourself play.

Hayate Teleport vs Wake up Kicks

To this day, I haven't seen anyone do this kind of stuff. They typically end juggles into his FT/Unholdable set ups. But I really enjoy seeing this type of tech. Maybe people don't use it because they don't know about it yet.
