There's also the possibility that I'm not as precise as I think I am. Anyway, there were good suggestions made here (thanks to you and @DestructionBomb ), and I've got a good starting point for research.

Do that all the time. I'll be dicking around in training mode, and then I'll save videos when I happen upon a move sequence I'll want to commit to memory. It's also during this time that I'll make note of my misses.

@Lulu As I stated earlier, the default PS4 controller is shooting blanks. I remember performing a move that required an input of 33, for example, and it works something like 6-7 out of 10 times. I was wondering if there were controllers out there that were smoother and more consistent and...

I feel like a smoother controller would work on any game, though. Even one with choppy inputs like MK (as opposed to the fluid DOA inputs). Reliability with regard to response is important as well. I hate inputting something that involves 7913 and getting inconsistent responses. Most of the time...

    DOA5LR Analysis of Honoka's Moveset

Favorite 9P variant? My vote goes to 9PPKP for no other reason than it feels the best/most useful of the three, IMO.

Should DOA Xtreme be a sign about the future of characters?

I wouldn't mind if they brought Misaki over to the main series. I wonder what type of fighter she'd be.

Macross, Hokuto no Ken, Berserk (1997), still hold up, IMO. Mobile Fighter G Gundam is definitely one of those "what the hell was I thinking as a kid" animes, but it's funny as hell with cool visuals and a decent story. :) The ham though...dear god, the ham.

We forget sometimes. It happens to the best of us. Hell, this topic reminded me that I forgot why it's called a "boss battle" as well. No worries. :)

The important, dramatic battles in early video games were against characters that held authority over the other characters. Several examples are mentioned in the discussion in the link, but think like King Koopa, classic example of a "boss", he ruled over all the enemies you face in the original...
