I'm down to attend gatherings in San Mateo if someone were to organize one. Does anyone want to get a pre-tournament offline gathering going a week or two before the San Jose tourney??? Amtrak.com Richmond to San Jose diridon station. Take CalTrain from SJ to San Mateo.

[Dec 1, 2012] BEST of the Battle (San Jose, CA)

It will only take about an hour tops to complete the round robin especially since this is offline and there isn't the hassle of inviting players to lobbies or typing messages. Competitors will be divided 2 or more groups and will have to play everyone in their group once or twice depending on...

Look up the train schedule. Might be a little more expensive but nonetheless efficient.

I'm open to setting time aside for offline casuals/get togethers often. Only problem is I'm not mobile so I'm not really available to leave SJ too much to meet up for casuals. To make things crystal clear, anyone interested in offline casuals in San Jose just needs to message me and we'll work...

[Dec 1, 2012] BEST of the Battle (San Jose, CA)

Hey everyone, I have a question to ask you guys.. How would you feel about doing a round robin to determine bracket seeding? Everyone in the tourney would play everyone one time and your record in the round robin will determine where you're seeded. None of the round robin matches would count...

If you get the low sweep on counter blow you can follow up with :K: :f+k: which leads into a juggle. Both the kicks can be held.

On point. It's worth mentioning that she also has her :4: :6: :P: attack which is pretty fast and great for spacing, sending your opponent into a wall/dangerzone, or ending a combo. Unsafe on block.

Learn how to Slow/stagger escape during the right stun and that will improve your defense. Lei's parries and sabaki are great defensive tools, learn how to use them and the guaranteed follow ups that come with em. Don't always complete your move strings. [Dec 1, 2012] BEST of the Battle (San Jose, CA)

Nothing confirmed. The goal is to get umvc3, sf4, tekken, and maybe FIFA 13. Problem is I don't have enough monitors and consoles for those games nor do I have any of those games besides FIFA. If anyone is interested in collaborating or providing equipment for this event please message me and...

Yes, the venue will be open for casuals a few hours before the tournament starts. Losers, Winners, and Grand Finals will for sure be recorded.

Why do kids pretend they have samurai spirit?

I would tell you why I repeatedly hit my downed opponents character after winning a round or match but then I'd be giving away my secrets. Here's a hint: Mind over matter. If you let their taunts or attacks get to you then you are just as weak as they are, only you lost.

[Dec 1, 2012] BEST of the Battle (San Jose, CA)

Very glad to hear that SoCal players are interested in attending. If the numbers are looking good for the event there is no doubt in my mind that this event has the capability of eventually being one of the larger Cali tourneys for DOA in the future. Numbers matter though. Each one of us are...
