But with 6, I didn't want it to knockdown or even have invincibility frames, which added to the "anything can change the tide of the battle." Especially with the knockdown as someone would do a negative string but because SS was that much of an assistance, even w/o properly reading anything...

It defeated the purpose as I felt "mind as well just block the whole thing" but also considering how people free-cancel & stuff, it still wasn't rewarding. I felt the sidestep was the only defensive option in 5 that wasn't rewarding at all.

My issue w/ 5's Sidestep stems from comparing it to Tekken's & even Soul Caliburs. 5's wasn't rewarding to me. I couldn't sidewalk nor sidestep predictable non-tracking strings as it'll just automatically re-track which rewarded a rushdown-type playstyle, especially as a i9 vs i11's.

In other news, Jacky's fun. I wish I can use Sarah more but right now enjoying the VF action again. If there's a DOA6U or whatever, please bring back the VF's. They would probably fit the system & hearing stuff like "Ora Ora Ora" & "Less talk more action" is awesome.

Sure, I can still get in messed up situations. But when you have meter break hold, break blow, a knockdown SSA that can just get you to the environment, & so many dangerzone-type maps, it's not as rewarding to play defensive to me. That, plus the meter aspect as well as the meter promotes...

This plus the fact that trying to defend so that I'm not in messed up situations, made me appreciate the defensive capabilities. DOA 6 I feel made me into an autopilot player. My biggest issue with 6 is I don't feel DOA 6 makes me adapt as a player as anything can change the tide of the battle.

Rotating with DOA5:LR & DOA 6 gives me this insight: 5 made me a better defensive player. Not saying I'm great defensively. Still ways to go. But although I think the Sidestep in 5 was awful, having the options to stagger escape & such gave me more options in regards to how much of a threshold I...

In other news: Tamaki looks alright. Nothing crazy. But I do like that there's a new fighting style involved. A 10-framer's also interesting rather than the typical 9-framers. Hopefully the hair situation's resolved as well.

Nobody will want to "build the ultimate team for competitive tourneys" cause now all you gotta do is buy packs and get PG Giannis & plow through every point guard not PG Giannis & win. Tekken with Leroy was ridiculous, NiCO grand finals was one thing also, but this is nuts. And on top of that...

Recently, 2k however came out with a Pink Diamond (Near perfect card) Giannis that can shoot like Curry, athletic, can defend, and on top of it all, is now able to play PG where nearly all the PG's are 6'3 & under. HOW IS THIS FAIR 2K??????? You literally killed an entire position yet again!

Context: If you know Giannis Antetokounmpo, you would know he's a 7'0 PF/SF slasher whom can get in the paint by any means necessary. 2k talked before about position locking so that players like LeBron, MJ, or Giannis can't play guard positions in myteam mode (which has a tourney & everything).

What 2k just pulled off is the reason why sports games continue to regress in competitive modes & why no matter what, fighting games are mostly fair in regards to competition. Another pay to win scenario.

The only problem with that also would be that companies could take this to the extreme and make the cost for items & VC ridiculous and I wouldn't put it past them to do that. But if done right and within reasonable means, I feel this could work.

With DLC, make the DLC a high in-game currency cost which you can either earn through grinding the game (which could take some time) or even buying enough currency. That's how I look at it, from a sports & fighting gamer's perspective.

But I just feel that with unlock system not being good (I still don't even have the club remix menu music), the in-game currency still being beyond worthless, & now this debacle, something has to be done. To revamp the system, make the currency a bit of a grind to get (rank up to win currency...

I feel you on that and I think that's the only legitimate argument against in-game currency as unlike fighters, sports games are now based on the Build the best team & build the ultimate player, & building the best stats to dominate online & in tourneys and that easily gets to the "pay-to-win"...

SF would've been a great example of a currency that you can earn to buy everything but I feel that SF's stingy on their currency but that could be just me, but nonetheless, I stand by what I said.

I feel every fighter should take the 2k route where if you have the virtual currency to buy a character, costume, dlc, story episode, etc, then that should be the way people get stuff. Tekken & DOA for me are prime examples of games where you have in-game currency and after a while, it's beyond...

In regards to this hair situation, simple solution for not only hair, but DLC, Core-Fighters,etc: Let us use our IN-GAME CURRENCY. If you have in-game currency, make it able to buy everything. The in-game currency to me is still beyond useless.
