That's because you confuse consistant advantage with instant win. Not a single character on the roster has it as good as Helena. When she gets that knockdown the entire match changes completely in her favor regardless of the character on the roster, with the only way out of her vortex is a guess.

She doesn't have a bad one after knockdown. Her neteral game there are major holes, but of she scores the knockdown it's completely in her favor regardless of character.

FYI the OP is pre PFT, after PFT you can just add 2-3 points to her favor. The number is irrelevant since after knockdown every character has to guess out of disadvantage to actually get out of the blender.

Yeah she had a good tool at the neteral game, but her true force techs from BKO, damage, and general safety made her a much more versitile and unique character than knockdown and derp your way to win Helena.

It's not a good thing when it simplifies the character and makes every match up virtually the exact same. All PFTs need to leave, no reason she should win the round on KD. She needs a major overhaul. She has a new sitdown into BKO, which is the direction they should be going with her.

Remove the blender, it has to go. All psudo shit for any character has to go. Allow true force techs off of high launches and BKO throw, with sacrificed juggle damage. Like in DOA4. Return all her lost strings and move from 3.1 and 4. Sidestep punch into limbo stun, pp2kp pp2kk 1kk, and the like.

Yeah that's her best tool and her only viable one in getting offense started. She avoids derp gunner and other OHs, but the trade off is that a lot of her animations are easily OHable due to their lengthy animations, long recovery, and slow start up.
