    DOA5LR PC-version information collection

Alright PC gurus, I need some tips. I may either upgrade to a new desktop or laptop, and I saw some of you mention installing DOA5LR on various hardware. I'm not going to spend a ton of money on a gaming rig, so I'm looking to see if it's even possible to run DOA with reasonable settings even...

    Texture Editing (PC)

I don't recall what progress was made, but I thought stuff could be pulled if it was possible from X2 which had similar file structures. I originally though the life bars on the side was from holding the trigger or something, like during a win pose, or watch mode.

    PC: Community Mod Resources

Nice, I'm going to start linking the first page to individual posts, so be be sure to post sample images and a download link if you wish to share something. If a mod gets updated be sure to update your original post. Thanks!

@Blash, 3dsmax will probably be the go to for that, since it's the only program I'm aware of that scripts are written for. @synce, it all depends on the scripts, and right now it's just 3dsmax, BUT the upside is bones and stuff get imported. That said, the only thing that has been automated in...

The console texture injector has not been rewritten yet, but putting modified files back into the game is possible... just depends on how savvy you are with hex at the moment. So, possible, yes, easier than uMod? not yet.

That's what the Mod resource thread is for, but if it would be easier for people to post links to a thread with images & a download link that would be cool too. There are already so many mods, that there is no way to contain links & pictures in one-two posts. It'll be a while before any kind...

    Texture Editing (PC)

We're still waiting for utilities to read the model into a 3d app and then inject the changes back into the files. That would allow changes within a costume. Add/changing/mixing costumes requires a lot of difficult stuff, and we're waiting on changes to the process too. From what I ready...

    Texture Editing (PC)

Thanks, I wasn't sure how much art magic was involved. I didn't think resizing alone would be enough either. I'll have to find a decent costume to practice on. -- I thought that Crow mod was Sting at first, lol.

@chrisarmoun01 @Catechrism What kind of texture operations do you guys use when upscaling textures. I'm not much of a texture artist, so beyond increasing dimensions, how do you go about sharpening some of the bluriness. Also, I'd like to know how to remove entries from uMod as well. @Mr...

Dang, you beat me to this. I just started working on Rachel's last night. After a couple of hours, I had to set it aside and come back to it. Looks good though.

    DoA5:LR Modding Video Tutorials

I think this would be very helpful to get people past the basics. I've worked with some in depth topics, but haven't had the time & tech to make tutorial vids. I could probably collaborate on some technical stuff as to the 'how' if you want to demonstrate how to do so in video form.

    Texture Editing (PC)

The texture method is not going to work for this, there are alpha properties within the costume that have to be changed.

    Texture Editing (PC)

Right, that's what I was referring to. :) There're very few costumes that have actual mesh layers, the rest all have some form of texture tricks, or they have meshes cut to avoid clipping. Fair enough, Gimp does have the huge advantage of being 'Free' lol

    Texture Editing (PC)

As far as ordering, not sure but possible. Changing the textures alone won't make that mesh transparent because it has two layers. Two layered objects haven't been solved. It requires doing something that I don't think anyone has discovered yet. For that model though, even if you did get it...

    Texture Editing (PC)

Part of the full challenge until we have full extraction/injection is working with 'alternate' textures. Some costumes like the school for example store the 'wet' image separately. You would have to update that one was well. @Baal bal That's good news. :D
