I'm going to assume right here she will only have 3 costumes, and that's turquoise, red, and blue. Just as it was in Dimensions. I would kill for a Yellow or White Alpha-152 though...

DrDogg wrote the guide, of course he knows. Once the 25th comes around, others will have the guide as well and it'll be up on GameFAQs before you know it.

Except many people have already beaten Story Mode and Alpha-152 still isn't unlocked for them. You can see that guy has already beaten her since he has the entire storyline unlocked, but later when he goes to the character select she's not there.

That is the final boss. It's a more complete form of Alpha-152 if I've been reading up on all of this correctly.

The way to unlock her is probably something stupid, like "Beat every character's command training!".

So, basically Alpha-152 is a bit better. Her strings all seem to start up slightly faster, her sidestep evades highs and non-tracking mids, her counter hold teleport seems to be MUCH faster.

You're calling DOA3 an uncompetitive game? REALLY? It is probably the most loved DOA in the entire community, and is by far the most balanced. The triangle system is still there and very much present, but it heavily rewards players that know what they're doing with very good guaranteed damage...
