That may be true but from a story perspective, they were part of the series from the start. The question clearly is based in the story so it doesn't really matter that both showed up late in the game, just that they were canonically part of the story when it began.

im being overly optimistic but i sort of hope the update is so large because theyre adding a volleyball minigame for thse who cant get doax3 (i know, so unlikely its stupid to even consider). maybe theyre just setting things up for the new girl; new stage and such which will be unlocked once...

From what I remember, it's releasing the same day as the new girl as well as the last dlc pack which is a Warriors theme. That pretty much confirms it will be associated with her.

I use it all the time personally. I honestly find it hard to like her current default since her alt looks so good...

im sure TN sees it that way as well... ayane hates kasumi as well but that hasnt stopped people from making fan art of them together. same goes with marie and honoka (sure, we dont know their exact relation but their nearly identical faces makes it clear they have some family connection)
