I feel Ein never changes because of his lack of relevance. If the real Hayate lost his memory again or we saw a Hayate-Alpha esque clone Ein might actually get some new tricks.

He probably would have been better off just staying as Ein. He stood out more before he turned into a ninja. Ryu has the freedom to be bland because of his own games, all the female ninjas are the heroines and Momiji was in NG so they're all covered as well. Hayate on the other hand is just...
