Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown has an almost flawless netcode from what I could experience... and my connection sucks. So it's not a question of lag-free but a big improvement on this side theoretically should be pretty possible, because already other games did it.

I don't think that the demo can include less contents in disc of the final version so my answer is yes: you can think of it basically as all the outfits in game of DoA5U + the 81 outfits from the "Complete DOA5 Costumes " DLC pack. (you can find it under the DoA5 costumes section...

If the demo build is the same showned at TGS, in the streaming of MadCatz was already showned as the characters have all their costumes from "DoA5" and "DoA5+" (so with all the DLC from these 2 games included - as the swimsuits - and the Virtual Suit for the Ninja included) + all the new outfits...

Apparently yes how seems that Ayane was contacted for a mission, so she will be playable in the game following her role of ninja for a customer. It's funny how so far this side mission of Fatal Frame seems apparently to be more canon than the DoAX series from the same Team NINJA :P

Choose the character and the outfit, then look for "Little Sound", click on it and select one of the hairstyles options: default, 1, 2 or 3. It's enough to do it only one time (and so you haven't to do this everytime you start a match), however I'm not sure if the option remain in "memory"...
