The one feature from VF's Training Mode I wish was in DoA and SFV is the Input Details Window... What I love about it is it not only tells you which buttons you've pressed... but it also tells you how long you've pressed them and how far apart you pressed the buttons.

I believe they actually got slower in DoA... but they were animated better. Maybe thats where the speed comes from. I know Jacky's FSK and Low Punch is one frame faster in VF.... atleast the start up is.... I never checked the recovery (VFDC has that information)
