I prefer the common alternative, because the biggest fighting games can at times usually overshadow the negativity (least generally). The smaller the community, the more potent the toxicity can be because it's small to begin with. The more negative people you'll draw, the more negative the game...

@Camel with 2 thumbs I mean, who else would you trust it with to make a fighting game? Only thing I can think of is netcode, which is very reasonable if that's the case, but I much rather have a low tier netcode than a low tier game. Did you want it to be a 3D fighter?

Will have to agree with @The 4th phase , despite that even some companies can take advantage of this for even the wrong reasons, at least there is some type of activity on it. Fighting games back then was a complete package and that's it. That's what you get. If something is busted in balance...
