IIRC palette swaps/recolors/alternate versions are usually in separate costume slots and it's been quite prevalent even in 5/5U. Look at Leifang's default Chinese dress. Each recolor has their own separate costume slot. The only time that palette swaps/recolors/alternate versions were fused...

This is more preferable. I doubt you can make a full costume become an R1 toggle since shoulder buttons are mostly for hair options.

I'm pretty sure every girl has 4 alternate underwear options in every skirt/dress costume by pressing either square, triangle, circle or triangle+circle (if you're using a PS3).

It can be readable if it's in a black (or red) with white letters. One bracelet could be in red with "sweetest" written on it while the other one is in black with "sting" (depends on your motif). If your back design is Bass-themed, you need to incorporate biker stuff.

Hmm... Maybe you can add gel bracelets with sweetest sting written on it. That way you can still put Chibi Bass Face Emblem + Bass Armstrong Fans Club as the back design. (if you are going with that idea)

Sweetest Sting on the underwear band would be nice. Just to make it very visible. Green on Mila made me thought of Princess Merida from Brave. They both have tomboyish personalities.
