Yeah its practical if you never get hit.... which is impractical.
And I wasn't tanking Midir... the large health pool is to help me learn his move set without dying and having to run back to pick up my Souls.... this essentially applies to every Boss... and any enemy really.

I beat Dark Souls 3 5 Times already.... that includes all the optional bosses... yes... 5 Times.
It wasn't until my 6th play through that I got the trainer....
Plus I already told you why I cheated... I told you twice.
