I wouldn't say boring because there is some boring back tracking parts. In NG:B I would say people find it boring compared to NG:B because NGS2 on MN is way to easy compared to NG:B I can beat NGS2 without ever using healing items in MN but in NG:B I can't even go without healing on lvl 1

You can actually kill murai really fast in MN You kill one minion, use essence to kill other minion, don't absorb the essence, wait till murai does his charge then XY Then hold Y to absorb essence and quickly let go, 3-4 of these and he's dead, You can also do this when he flips
