The issue with it is that Smash both competitively and casually is a much bigger game than DOA is and will ever be. I'm not saying that people wouldn't watch DOA events and even participate at them but it might not live a long and glorious life.

Games with a budget usually look good, have the best gameplay in the series(unless its a brand new game) or both. Shows the better side of what companies can actually make if there's money invested in it.
