To be fair, "fuck everything we used to have about them" is the approach they took with virtually all the doa5 characters. I think...Leon and maybe Tina are the only ones who weren't turned into entirely new people.

Ugh sorry for slow updates to first post. I gotta write all this shit down on paper first then go back and edit post and type it all in manually. Stupid phone won't let me paste it just keeps trying to select the text instead.

I still prefer the cooler colors like silver/blue/green, over warm we colors like red/yellow/brown, is all I'm saying. This extends to health bars, stage palettes, menus, and costumes. And I imagine the flash stayed. Its effectively doas meter system.
