It's crazy to think that it's been almost a whole decade since DOA5U got released. Also can't believe its been 9 years since I joined FSD and the DOA community. Man, time flies.

Akira is a simple man. He only wants to punch you twice (PP) or kick you once (K). Though when he does, he hits hard lol.

I remember back in 5 people used to have issues with Akira's Knee and Jacky's FSK lol. Good times. Tbh, the inputs for DOA aren't as complex as say KOF but there are some complicated ones of course like Hayate's Raijin. Not much that can be done but just keep practicing till it becomes muscle...

Meh, its aight. I did enjoy it though I just wish the combat felt more fluid. It took them a while to patch the Switch version, where you were pretty much stuck in attacking in one direction regardless if you locked on or not. It was surprisingly pretty challenging.

I feel ya. The community was so active, especially during the DOA5U era. Feels like it was just yesterday that I was playing online casuals on the old PS3 with some folks here. Good times indeed.

He's ranked pretty high up there by Japanese players actually. I believe he was top 5 in DOA5LR as well. DOA6 Hayate can still wreck stuff pretty well despite the big 4P nerf he got.
