    yeah Ryu and Hayate's throw launches are pretty badass and definitely rack up huge damage on hi-counter hit if the proper juggles are used (not to mention the wall damage/danger zones). Part of the reason why I use Hayate.

    From what I've seen, 4T can be used as a GBOD setup or perhaps for mind games. It isn't exactly that useful. The frame advantage you get isn't that great either. Perhaps @DestructionBomb can provide more detail.

    They are the same in that they both use spears and have always been the poster boys of the SW/DW games. As for why they didn't get revealed earlier, its probably because everyone knew they were going to be in it. Of course they want to surprise people first with some of the new characters.
