Dragon Shrine Maiden and Ryu's protege. She saved Ryu in NG:DS by powering up his Dragon Sword using the Eye of the Dragon, I like her story because it uses the word Dragon a lot.
I know her story, cool stuff, she has potential to be an important character in future games, I didn't really like her back in DOA3 (ayyye! Happy Birthday DOA3!), but I've grown to like her, her Engrish in the JP dub is sexy.
I like her design and style. I dislike having to deal with PPPPP...
She should be the one using Systema, not dinky-ass 12 year old Marie Rose. That's another thing, seeing those two fight is both the dumbest and the funniest shit in this game, it's like watching a toad fight an alligator, lolololol.
I know her role in NG, but there's isn't a lot related to DOA, lol. She was fun to play as in NGS, and even if the BDSM references are a little on the nose, I still like her overall.
I don't like how much she gets for so little effort, this was especially true in 5U, even more so than Gen...
I like him overall, goddamn is his style boring as shit though. Still, we're nearing 20 years of DOA, and Gen's been there since the beginning, so you gotta give some respect to the old guy, I'd actually miss him if he died in DOA6, you can't have a DOA game without Gen being a top tier in it...
Gen's story is actually pretty interesting, you wouldn't really expect that, they could have easily, easily made him the common pervy old man stereotype character, specially in DOA, but they decided to give him an actual personality, that's pretty cool.
There's a lot of story to the series, including DOA, hard to summarize it, only games I haven't beaten are NG3 and Yaiba, but I do have a good amount of knowledge of the character's lore. I love everything about him, and if you don't, I don't care what anyone says, you're a bad person.
The most badass Ninja in gaming, and to my knowledge, the first guest in a fighting game. I grew up with the NES games, I remember playing DOA for the first time and being like; ''is that the same Hayabusa?'', I was really happy it was. Funny how he could body the entire DOA cast, hell, almost...
Anything before and beyond that though I agree, she's extremely strong in this game, I don't remember who it was with, but I remember having a conversation where I talked about how Pai is not only the character that transitioned the best in DOA, but also about how she also benefitted the most...
That is exactly the reason why she was broken in VF3, but that was mainly because of the throw system in VF3 being impossible. Third Strike Chun and VF3 Pai are infamous for being ridicously OP in their respective games.
