Nevermind, I got my answer. The losers make it to top 8 but the winners get better seeding. So it's Swoozie, Vanessa, Master, BlackMamba, Kayane, Chosen1, Jovany Zuniga, and DYoshi

So does the loser of the finals of each pool move on to the finals tomorrow? I believe the winner of the previous pools are Swoozie, Vanessa, and BlackMamba. But there are supposed to be 8 people in the finals so does that mean the people they beat in the finals will be there as well?

It's called a critical blow. Certain moves cause this if it's the last hit of the stun threshold. And you can't hold if your not in a standing critical stun. So if someone trips you, you'll have to wait until you're on your feet before you can hold.

I want to know how the holds work now. From what I gather, if you're not in a standing stun, then you can't hold. And if you're at the end of the stun threshold, and do a specific attack, you get an unholdable stun. Rikuto said he can do a stun with Baymen where you only get one chance to hold...

I saw Wedge do that throw but it seemed like she didn't know what to input next. There was a bit of delay before the opponent escaped.

I wonder if the VF ground stun that you can launch opponents from is just for the VF characters. Akira does it in the first combo of his DOA5 combo video and I saw the guy playing Akira in the stream today do it a few times. And also that ground bounce he does to Kokoro from an air juggle.

There are a lot of Marvel players that don't like TAC. You should be able to get a combo on your opponent if you guess correctly and prevent the TAC but I believe that only works with X-factor. It would only work in DOA if the first critical stun was unholdable. Then you could decide to launch...
