Might depend on the genre and game format. If it's a 6 button fighting game with a simplistic approach and simplistic conclusion, I don't mind 6 button ones (there is a lot though yeah).

And lastly, if they truly wanted to make it into an action-RPG, PlatinumGames should of handled it. The gameplay i'm seeing in the video looks incredibly rough.

If they truly decided it was for the best to turn it into an Action-RPG, I guess that's fine but man....the limitations for changing it into that. Action-RPGs last at best is 30-40 hours. A general RPG like how Tales would do it (What Valkyrie P games used to be) would be 60+ hours at minimum.

Normally I don't mind for any general changes, but this was one change that really shouldn't have happened considering that it already had potential from the system Tri-Ace had it and should of expanded from that rather than completely change it.

On the other hand, the game has completely changed and it looks incredibly rough in the graphical department and gameplay. The series at first was an RPG with a unique battle system, but for the first time it was changed into an action-RPG.
