I'm pushing for it, but the rest of the FGC just doesn't seem to care for some reason. And when it gets brought up, some event managers want to dismiss it for some reason.

I was actually excited for the Steam Deck. Still am. There was talks about this over at Discord with Matt. It'll still be difficult due to the push and convenience of the consoles, despite that the Steam Deck looks more convenient than a console ITSELF lol. Yet events still want to use consoles.

Coincidentally, I find DOA players to slowly enter that bubble because of the recent situation with DOA6 vs other FGs. Simply because it's either all they play or they just don't care what happens to it. It's easier to grasp that take if you play other games and witness on how it conditions...

@solevelonte It really depends on the context. It's reasonable to feel that way from the main post vs other genres because they do make sense in the end due to how massive their support for those other genres are compared amongst fighting games itself. Fighting games will never beat a genre...

For clarification, are you referring to fighting games as a whole vs other main genres out there? or are you referring to fighting games in itself vs most other popular fighting games? It's two different things.

Despite it's Nomura's designs, the aesthetic and artstyle of TWEWY seems to be like way too all over the place. I'm sure the game is probably fun, but visually just doesn't appeal to me. I think I made a post about it too regarding the games now that I think about it.

I haven't fallen for it, never did. I saw the monster within. I still believe her hype is a bit of an exaggeration still. But hey, people like those types of characters I guess.

What's cool about Athena though is that she's one of the few characters that aesthetically changes in attire with each new iteration she gets appeared in, sometimes slightly, sometimes a lot.

She's actually my least favorite character in terms of original characters created and personality as it's that typical sailor moon magical madoka school girl with the whole cheesy dialogue. Gameplay-wise, she always looked alright and simple.
