My problem is I have so many favorites from 2U that I can't decide. XD I'm trying hard not to get excited at the possibility of more throwback stages (since 5U only brought back 2 from previous games) but fighting on Aerial Gardens in HD would be incredible.

How so? If anything I think this is the best decision they could have made. Like Cyber Evil and everyone else has been saying the 3D fighters are pretty much non-existent for XB1/PS4 right now. It's the perfect opportunity to release a DOA 5 port.

And I think the important thing to remember is that it won't be released until 6-8 months from now so there's still a lot of time to enjoy 5U before then. Come spring I think most people will be ready for the new version.

I wonder if the layout at the character select screen will resemble the arcade version (where you can actually see the hair/glasses customizations). And TN, MR needs something other than pigtails plz. XD

Whatever decision they made was going to be a lose-lose anyway. If they made it PS4/XB1 exclusive, people would b*tch that they only have last gen. If they make it for all 4 consoles people b*tch that it's not cross compatible and that it divides the players. I'd say this is a better alternative.

But there are so many more possibilities with a new version. 5U initially had 5 new characters and 5 stages. Hopefully they keep up the trend with LR

It's definitely a smart move on their part and LR will come out to current gen consoles months before Tekken 7 will.

I think that this will be the same case as it was for 5-->5U. Probably none of the DLC will transfer over (however they may include some outfits that were originally DLC from 5U as unlockable on-disc content). Also any new stage or character will most likely be exclusive to LR as well. All...
