The problem is Belinea during gameplay this move was also painfully slow as well and very easily countered. It's like Eliot is just sticking his leg out there waiting for someone to grab it.

I understand what you're saying Rikuto but it comes down to the fact that the gameplay that I've seen of Eliot (there were more gameplay vids w/ him not just xcal) have shown only nerfs. We have yet to see a single new positive change to him which worries me. The only real "possible"...

Never said that the hostility was right but TN clearly believes that they are properly balancing the characters as confirmed by their statement.

Nerfing 2 important moves for Eliot is like taking a cane away from a cripple. And you're right we haven't seen really anything (since no one used him apparently) but from what I saw he is a downgraded vanilla version.

:( And here's the worst part...that was Xcaliburbladez playing as him...the player who not too long ago won the DOA XVI tournament. If he just barely scraped by with a win against a new Rachel player the rest of us are screwed.

Agreed. I'm already working with what little I have in 5 now he almost has nothing. If Xcaliburbladez could barely scrape by with a 3 round win against a rachel (with a player I'm sure is just now learning to use her) I fear 5 is the last game I main Eliot. :(

I want to believe this but TN seriously has something against Eliot. pre-DOA5 he looked amazing leading to TN nerfing him immediately. Now in Ultimate I haven't seen a single improvement and they've given him the most ridiculous wimpy mid-kick that looks like it was purposely made as a joke.

Wanted to believe he was at least as good as he was in vanilla (which wasn't good at all) but Eliot got nerfed. :( Team Ninja please have mercy on this character he's literally the joke of the series if you could at least give him a few safer moves + guaranteed damage I would appreciate it...

Found a gameplay vid of him. Click on Summer Jam's link and the most recent "Untitled Broadcast". He's versing Rachel around 20:00. Other than that awkward mid kick he looks like he plays a lot like his vanilla version. Is there more gameplay vids of him so I can see these supposed "nerfs"...
