I just don't think DOA has enough manpower to call the shots on bringing back content for a series that's now more popular with DOAVV than it's fighting game counterpart. No joke but if Mai was delisted for DOA6 at some point, it's more believable for her to be relisted there than in DOA5 considering DOA6 is the most current game. For starters, the game just flat out isn't supported anymore. On top that Mai is available for DOA6 so might of been no need to retain the character in DOA5LR if she is currently most present in DOA6 (least assuming here). Personally I think it's a losing battle. For starters, SNK also has a sway in the matter since Mai is their character technically speaking.
