That wasn't my argument at all. I thought my argument was pretty clear, but I suppose I can reiterate to make it clearererer. The current 3D FG landscape is a trash heap. Being the king simply because the competition is lackluster isn't really something to praise so fervently.

No individual element is going to make your game good. MK is a mess, but the block button isn't the reason for that.

Honestly, I can't think of any modern FGs that have exceptional neutral. Tekken 7 and DOA6 are probably at the top, which is pretty yikes.

Everyone claims their character is hard to use, so even if you placate all the self-congratulatory crybabies, everyone still winds up in mid tier once genuine balancing is in place.

Rig isn't exactly top tier or anything. Not sure why buffing Rig would be a problem.

1) Mid tier is a good place to be. In a balanced game, everyone is mid tier. 2) Two wrongs don't make a right, but people have been complaining about Leifang's stupid hurtboxes for years.

Removing all crush properties would be a bit crazy. Removing the mid crush property would be welcome, however.

In my experience, it's usually not the stupidly good stuff that gets nerfed. So not really.
