I'm also wondering if that's the direction they're going in with the next VF, to be a realistic fighting simulator, and maybe that's why they've already come out early to say they'll still be supporting VF5 REVO as the "E-Sports side of the franchise".
Is it worthwhile for there to be a "fighting simulator" rather than a "fighting game"? I've been thinking about the aspect of random elements & guessing in fighting games, and considering that while they make for poor elements in strict games/competition, they could be realistic in real fights...
Yeah the grain of salt here is that this is basically a concept, we don't know how much of this will be in the final game and I hope releasing this clip doesn't come back to haunt them if things don't turn out as good or better than this. But personally, I just like to see what their ambition is...

So hyped for this game right now!!
It already wins at being the best looking 3D fighting game ever.
And as a bonus its like getting a glimpse at what a potential DOA7 would look like.
That's a depressing thread... but then it is Resetera so not surprising. Even if past DOA devs came right out and confirmed it did nothing and that it effecting jiggle was just a conclusion reached by gamers, people would still perpetuate the myth that it's a jiggle slider and that this is...
if I had massive space I'd just paste it into my cmd with yt-dlp and sit back and wait, lol (I never tried a playlist THAT huge before tho, not sure if it'd even work...)
yeah weird, they don't have a search bar.... but what about this playlist they made for DOA?

I can't guess what the reason is... why not just stop uploading and keep the videos up as an archive? It's not like they gotta pay for servers or anything.
If i had the time and hard drive space I'd download whatever I could...
It would probably be new models made from scratch but based on DOA5/6 looks, like what they're did with the VV girls they put into Prism. I doubt they'd go way further into realism over style, and I hope they wouldn't.
Say what you will about that 90s Canada-based anime dubbing from Ocean and DiC, despite the silly accents for some characters and some characters sounding older than they should and the censorship/changes in the dialogue, I can't help but love..... oh damn, I just heard it :O I never heard it...
Here's an Itagaki interview from just before DOA4's release: https://web.archive.org/web/20060110002333/http://teamninja.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3144062
Funny how he brought up the concept of cliffhangers and blowing up cars, but that was rejected for DOA4 and ended up in DOA5...
It's a hot outfit for sure, but I couldn't care less about Fiona...
meanwhile, I might end up going this whole year without a new SSR for Tina o_O wth? Well, at least I finally heard her wish me a happy tanjoubi....
Today was DOA4's anniversary. It'll be 20 next year at this time in 2025. Just in time for the occasion I got $1 Xbox Game Pass to get online and played some DOA4 online for the 1st time in 10-15 years and I had a blast. Somehow I was in a lobby with 3 other players and none of us got past a...
I don't see how that could be anything other than a new DOA fighting game. DOA was Team Ninja's first game as a new studio, which saved Tecmo, and if they're doing something specifically for the 30th anniversary of Team Ninja then how could it be anything else?
Edit: I guess it could also be a...
I'm mostly loving all the details so far. I hope this is the biggest hit in VF history, this series deserves to be as big as SF and Tekken, if not more (not saying that's a possibility, just that I feel it deserves it).
