Hold on now, Shun'ei and Isla are cool. They may look like rejected character designs from Tetsuya Nomura, but KOF15's story actually made me give a shit about 'em.
The Capcom Showcase literally could've been just 7 minutes of Lady D being playable in Mercenaries and it would've been 10 times more hype than the other 50 minutes of it.
You know what? I'm kinda glad they're not making Darkstalkers 4 right away. Let em fine tune the engine's capabilities a bit, then when they reveal that game alongside Morrigan, she'll blow up the internet ten times worse than Lady D...

Welcome to "The History of Dead or Alive Guest Characters", the second offshoot of the "Dead or Alive Lore Explained" series.
The purpose of these episodes are to provide the most comprehensive history as possible for most - if not all - of the collaborations with the long-running Dead or Alive...
I'm sure they will.
But SF4 3D Edition was not the first time this happened. This was also a thing in Super SF2 Turbo Revival for the GBA, and arguably a lot worse.
