Agreed. Ayane loves Hayate as a brother, the same way Kasumi loves him as well. In the earlier games, this brotherly love to Hayate as well as her jealousy towards Kasumi was what made her Kasumi's rival in my opinion.

It's not easy fighting good Rig players. Best advice I can give is to be patient and choose wisely when you want to attack, and when you want to defend. Character knowledge can help a lot when it comes to getting right guesses or reads about a Rig pressuring you, or not continuing his string...
