Fun fact: Faris has striking similarites to Yellow Belmont from Genesis Climber Mospaeda (or Lance "Yellow Dancer" Belmont for those who grew up watching the Robotech dub) due to the nature of their androgynous design. Ironically, they were both designed by Yoshitaka Amano.
