Yeah PS2 and Xbox OG days were the best. Development for the graphical department was mostly to keep up with the console gen time rather than purely putting 80% of the resource to the graphical portion and everything else with the leftover percentages. Games tend to be a lot longer in the past...

When I buy a $60-40 game that's an action-adventure, RPG etc. I expect from them to be over 40 hours long. Anything shorter and well, not worth 60 bucks.
