@Hold_Junkie93 I will defend DOA till the ends of the earth though, but there are some battles DOA literally has no hope in winning. Fighting that battle will make me look silly in the end when it's not winnable to begin with. DOA can win that battle in the future but it's a long way to go for...
Marketing is absolutely involved but yet that isn't the 100% the reason for it. You could market DOA as a ultra serious fighter and it still wouldn't top Tekken because it's a drawback due to the series buyers (consumers) will treat it as succumbing to the invisible SJWz that don't actually...
There was hardly any marketing for most previous fighters and yet they still sold well than most others. (KI woot, and that was exclusive to Microsoft on top of that).
Not bashing DOA here because I still defend the series kek lol, but if it came to some serious discussion in some knights of...
@Force_of_Nature There is more than marketing involved though.
Can't call it an average game if a huge chunk consider it to be higher noted than another fighter. If there was a paradox and you had another "you" who solely plays Tekken, he'd say DOA would be the average because it's an...
Short story, some peeps tend to give DOA far too much credit or expected too highly for it when they get surprised in situations like "What the hell? MK got awards more than DOA!? that's a lie!". Like, how oblivious can you be to make a reaction such as that considering how incredibly niche DOA...
@deathofaninja Not exactly how things work, if a game is boring then no one would play it. People also don't play out of being a sheer masochist because why would they.
Fortnite is absolute trash without question but yet that game created a giant pathway that most other games never did. Can't...
Not defending Tekken nor SF here because Tekken is actually an overrated series full of kekness, yet most of it's reasons are actual genuine good reasons. Tekken is by far the worse series when it comes to any graphical output, but yet people still seem to forget that graphical output is not...
What I'm getting at is that people expected DOA to be some sort of top gaming epiphany when it's nowhere near that, almost to the sense that people actually didn't believe or somehow be surprised on other game accomplishments to be higher noted than DOA. Fancy eye-candy to appeal one's eyes is...
Lol not sure why some people on Twitter are disappointed with Shimbori admitting that SF and Tekken are the kings of fighting games. I mean, it's a fact. They have far more casual and competitive players.
A nitpicker is someone who decides to write 16 pages of why pieces of hair are 29MBs of data instead of 42GBs of massive texture data that you can't simply pick up in a actual match.
I can clearly see every single detail to the tiniest pieces of hair in matches with my magnifying glass while...
It's not a big team yeah. I mean, Square Enix themselves went to TN to make Dissidia. Shows what a small team was capable of.
TN's graphical portions are just fine with most stuff people are just nitpicking. I think TN just needs more developers in general. Ironically just like DOA that it...
Yeah regarding RE4, i'm just sitting here like "does this one in particular truly need one?" I mean the game came out for the Gamecube and PS2 sure, as well as just been ports after, but the game seemed pretty alright in the age I guess? Think the only bits I can see changing from RE4 is a...
Capcom is considering remaking RE3, RE4, and DMC1 in the far future. Question and honest answers, do you think RE4 needs a remake? can't really see a reason to remake it. I could see a graphics overhaul and new locations, but does it really need one? curious.
Yeah DOA story has never ever been superb so most stuff you'd have to link on your own or by other sources. The same could be said for other fighting games in general, and well, DOA is part of the abysmal story bunch.
So Koei Tecmo EU messaged me back and is working on the interview as we speak. It might be up tomorrow or sometime this week so who knows.
Would like to see Shimbori travel with us to events more often.
Was looking for this thread. Any word of the Koei Tecmo EU interview they were suppose to do? I'll contact Simon again but curious is if because Shimbori is still around traveling to different events, which would make sense on the delay.
Marie Rose: Wow! you're enormous!

By the way, has there been any word of the Koei Tecmo EU interview with Shimbori? Simon is writing the interview over there but not sure how long that would be.
