I don't think that's a fair assessment. 1. If you are referring to the women only getting costumes that's not cool because men can still be considered dolls too. 2. If you are referring to gameplay not being the focal point, that's not fair either, because nobody has seen the balance...

Yes and avoiding attacks should require skill and shouldn't allow an attack as a followup every single time you mash the SSA button. It was a redundant design choice and that's why it was changed quickly and not changed again because the SSA is extremely effective regardless.
