Whats up guys. I am coming from Kumite in Tennessee and I got thrashed. I won 1 game and lost 2 and was out. I will be attending the Final Round in Atlanta.

I wanted to ask you guys really simply, what can a 30 year old who works from 7-10pm do to become better with Jann Lee and Jacky?

I love Jeet Kune do because it was created by "The King".

Any help this awesome community can give would be awesome!

You can definitely get better but I wouldn't expect to be in top eight without some serious training and slacking on your other responsibilities. Most of the active tournament players, especially @SweetRevenge117 are willing to get games in. You just have to make the most of the time you have available, really.

I remember you! Anyway, the best way to improve is to hit the training mode with your character. Test certain situations and what you're options are. Going to offline events will make you improve drastically. The surefire way to become HLP status is to definitely go to events and get lots of casuals before and after the actual tournament. Make sure you hit up character specialists with the character of your choice and ask for critiques and tips. Good luck!

Guys thanks for the responses..

and Bushido...haaaaa!!! lol lol...

Sir, you were the one who sent me packing. lol.. I was honored to lose to you sir because your name is flawless. I was telling you that I have "Bushido" written in blood on my arm indeed. In any case, if you're heading to the final round, or next year at Kumite when I see you, I owe you a coke sir!

Who won by the way anyway? Did you make top 3? Ian has yet to post the results?

In any case, everyone thanks for your responses thus far.

Obviously with such limited time, I can't train as hard as others. What could potentially get me into elite company as fast as possible? I am contemplating starting a local meetup(meetup . com) here and do casuals because I just can't train correctly online against other great players or havent been able to do so.

So is that what the rest of you guys are suggesting, including the good sir Bushido, is that I train continuously on learning every facet of my player. I guess that goes without saying but with 45 days until the next tournament where my expections is to at least when twice this time, what should I do in specific to get better?

-Should I suck it up and play online and just look for people with good quality connections?

-Train to learn every movement of my player in every scenario that I encounter?(I don't doubt this is good, but given the allotted time would this work for what I"m trying to accomplish?)

Thanks guys!

SweetRevenge sir, congrats on the win. I honestly saw you playing with Jann Lee and I was astounded by how good you played with him. I literally was thinking, "wow, thats the level I need to be"!

Results are on the front page. The fastest way to improve is probably to have offline casuals with others. Online is just...bad. Blader and I are thinking of meeting up at Game Galaxy Arcade, so we can tell you when we decide to go. (Hopefully we don't oversleep...) If you do play online, play people who try to play properly on there. Don't want to play people who abuse lag tactics.

Casuals are definitely the way to go. Im in Memphis sir so I dont think I would be able to make that when you guys meetup lol.. :) But yeah, I'm going to try to recruit a couple of guys here to play casuals in order to continuously test my limits.
