Anime/Manga Talk

It's definitely worth it if you get a chance to. The actors they got to portray everyone look very legit. The only one I wasn't very impressed by was the dude who plays the leader of the gang in that portion of the series. I can't remember his name and I'm to lazy to look it up, but he ends up joining Kenshin in the anime and fighting Shishio. They just made his gang an amalgamation into one character, and he only uses one dagger instead of two.

How does it compare to 13 Assassins? After watching that, I don't even think a Samurai X film could come close.

I haven't seen "13 Assassins," so I can't really compare to be honest. Rurouni Kenshin was just very excellently well done, from the acting to the props to the action. I'll get my hands on a copy of "13 Assassins" tonight and when I get a chance to watch it I'll give you a comparison, but again, I don't speak Japanese and there were no subtitles, so I can't really judge the dialogue.

P4 Animation has a different ending from the game though. It doesn't exactly follow the true ending and cuts a few things (Izanami) out.

I was a bit disappointed as well with that "true" ending. Waited all this time for it lol

I don't mind fanservice in anime at all. In fact I admit I'm into ecchi (also love Queen's Blade and High School of the Dead) but I'm actually very surprised about the animation quality. It's very, very good.

Don't know if that has been stated or not, I think it has. My colleague just told me that the VA for Rig is, Gaara from Naruto.

I couldn't tell, I don't watch too many things from Japan with English VA. Although, I have heard Gaara's voice before and it's the only voice that I like.
Same, but I know enough about English VA's to know who's who.

I watched Persona 4 The Animation a little while ago, and to be honest I didn't really think it was all that great. Every other episode was filler.

I just started watching Sword Art Online, it's pretty sick. It's up to 12 episodes as of last night.

My top 10:
Trinity Blood
Death Note
Gundam SEED
Gundam Wing
Kurozuka
Fate/Zero
Highschool of the Dead
Hellsing
Afro Samurai
Sword Art Online

Clannad is life.
Actually "after story" is my fav of all time and I have to admit the production values of just about any KyoAni work tends to put it near the top of my list. Fluff anime is fun too.:)
Also, any giant robot or action list that doesn't include Gurren Lagann is incomplete. - most epic final battle ever!
