I think DOA and Virtua Fighter have gameplay styles that resemble a push and pull(back and forth) cinematic movie style of the 70’s and 80’s classic Kung Fu movies. Therefore, these fighting games are the best for me. No fire balls or over the top special moves. In fact I am scared that DOA might go in that direction with the fire ball special crap because of the DOA community is not as large as the Street Fighter community and maybe not as popular with kids under 15 or new comers looking to get into fighting games. I know a great question for older DOA Players or Virtual Fighters is how do you stay relevant and grow the community? Big events = relevance in my opinion like EVO. I have noticed older gamers desperately try to keep both DOA and Virtua Fighter alive with online petitions, twitch feed, prayer and anything they can do to promote their favorite game in their spare time. I applaud these individuals. The least a member of the community can do that is not going out of their way to promote their game and community is welcome newplayers and younger players.

Kicking and individual out of a room is down right disrespectful. Its not like there are 100 lobbies running and the community is bustling like Street Fighter or even Killer Instinct and the latter game is on one system. There are 7 lobbies, the last time I looked that are running daily which is not even half compared to other fighting games. In short these communities need all the people they can get to introduce new comers to a dynamic cinematic fight game experience. In all fighting games I got my ass handed to me before I got better. Please stop kicking new comers (noobs/newbs) and teach them with your play style, when you fight them so they can get better and grow the community.

Peace!
