Buffering from guardstun/dashes

So I'm trying to improve my throw punishment game mainly to make sure it's the online and not me when I'm getting fucked by -10 spam all day, and it's occurred to me that I am actually not 100% sure how to buffer a throw or other moves out of guardstun correctly.

1) Do I need to wait to come out of guardstun to input a throw or any move, or is it safe to input as soon as I see the blocked animation? I'd assume I should be able to go ahead and buffer it during the block.

2) I tend to block by holding f rather than 4; can I just input p and release f+p and get the throw, or do I need to actually release and press f+p? In general, do you need to release f to get a buffered move out? If so that almost seems to argue you're better off holding 4 to block, at least you're less likely to unintentionally free cancel your retaliation.

Also: is it possible to free cancel a dash? I know this works fine with a crouch dash but I tend to get unintended mid kick holds if I try to cancel a forward dash. I suspect I'm not getting back to neutral and/or lag, but if it's not actually possible that would be good to know (and an incredibly shitty bit of design if so). If not, will holding 4 automatically cancel into a block from a dash/run if you're attacked or are you vulnerable till the dash completes? Otherwise, how are you supposed to bait anything?

I just buffer the throw instantly after the punishable attack while I presume I'm still in guard stun but it rarely works online be interesting to see if there's a better way to do it

You cant get a true appretiation for the technique from online play. Have to play offline to get its true benifits.

You can't really play the same when you fighting against people online because sometimes using your good strategy will get you
punished. So you have to switch up your play style..well thats how it feels when it comes to testing your skills online to me.

Yeah, trying to play correctly seems to be a one-way ticket to Rapesville USA; the grapplers are particularly screwed given their inability to mash nearly as well as a ninja and their dependance on punishing with throws. You can still do some good stuff, but eventually spamming 1p to JO Cyclone gets to be a little old.

It sounds like you can safely just input the throw as soon as you've seen the blocking animation; I had been waiting and that might be a problem. So, dash cancelling, then...
