Things didn't start well for Mr. Kwiggle as his younger brother Sonic Fox took him out two matches straight knocking him into loser's bracket. Meanwhile XcaliburBladeZ managed to beat Master in winner's bracket dropping Master down to the loser bracket, and after that set he defeated Sonic Fox as well solidifying his position in the final. Gehaktbal managed to get a big win on the Tengu specialist, Ninja CW and Lopedo knocked Perfect Legend out of the competition shortly after.

The matches really picked up during the Gehaktbal/Master dream match, which Gehaktbal took, performing impeccably with his festive Zack. Lopedo then crossed paths with Mr. Kwiggle but lost in what some would consider to be a huge upset as Lopedo is the self-proclaimed "best in the world" and the previous TFC champ. MC Kwiggle and Gehaktbal then proceeded to fight, and despite a valiant effort, Gehaktbal was knocked out of the tournament.

Afterwards, Kwiggle finally got the best of his younger brother (outstanding Marie Rose) in some really good matches and went on to fight Xcal in the final. The matches started off with Helena (Xcal) and Christie (Kwiggle), but Xcal switched to his Alpha later on to hopefully prevent a reset. His Alpha was spot on, was B.U.R.S.T.I.N.G all over the place, but ultimately it didn't prevent the bracket from being reset. After the shocking reset did finally take place, it wasn't long before Xcal switched back to Helena in a last effort to beat Kwiggle and his unstoppable Christie. He made a great comeback, but it wasn't enough to get the job done at this tournament. Congratulations Mr. Kwiggle, and to all competitors who made it out to this all-star champion of champions tournament!

 

Great matches, everyone should be proud of this game's ending tournament. Hopefully we'll get just as much skills and competition in the next generation of DoA with Last Round and beyond!

Kwiggles is definitely my favorite DOA player at the moment. Glad to learn that he won. Can't wait to see the Top 8 replays. Long live DOA!

 

Was very nice to see how the players utilised the enviroment. And Gehaktbal bringing the fury with Zack was a sight to behold. A lot of tense, nailbighting matches.

The viewercount was also peaking at nearly 6k viewers. Gongrats to both the community and Team Ninja. We've come a long way. Here's hoping we grow even further, with Last Round.

I agree. I find that utilizing the environment is a very underrated aspect of combat in DOA with too much focus on combos and stun-based mix-ups.

 

Sadly I lost the majority of the tournament, but you can be sure that I will fix to it looking all the matches from You Tube: my congratulations to Mc Kiwggles (the Grand Finals with Xcalibur was an awesome match) and to all the other DoA players that partecipated to the TFC, keeping alive the competetive side of the game with their great performances!

 

Regretted that I couldn't have been there to shake up those brackets. But glad one of my friends could take the tourney, this only makes me want to get out there and meet you guys more and show what I can do as well.

For now, the spotlight's on Kwiggle. Grats man and you deserve it!

One of the best tournaments I've seen. Very breathtaking also for the Europeans. Excellent play Gehaktbal! My adrinaline increased during his fights by like 40% haha. GGs!

 

Congrats to all of the competitors, with extra-big congrats to the Top 8 and the most congrats to Kwiggles for taking the win.

Definitely going to watch this as the Youtube uploads go up. Definitely thinking I should attend next year.
