Thanks. Yeah I'm not gonna do all the ornate trim but I am taking inspiration from Guan Suo's outfitsLooks good. DW characters are a bit too gaudy for my taste. When designing an OC though it's good to think about how often you plan on drawing them, or if you want others to draw them. If the costume is overly detailed it can be a hassle. But you should definitely include fine details either way
that was more of a practice OC she could be developed further.Cool didnt know you had OCs kodachi

For shading you should study values. I look at images in black and white and practice painting the different shifts in value. For faces you just need to understand the placement of where everything goes in different perspective, some skull studies wouldn't hurt eitherLooks so awesome.
How do you do faces, hair and shading? I have troubled with those and simple practice isnt helping
*computer is dead* hm.For shading you should study values. I look at images in black and white and practice painting the different shifts in value. haha when I study traditionally I break down and analyze my subject matter usually in pen. I literally have science diagrams on breasts. Write down lots of notes then implement that knowledge without reference repeat that cycle over and you'll be where you want to be in no time.*computer is dead* hm.
Well I'll keep it in mind lol.
Taking art classes actually lowered my skills lol. The instructor made everyone use the same approach as him -_-Trying to learn how to draw is tough, you have to be disciplined. I like to draw but I'm too darn lazy to seriously put in the time and effort to get better so all my stuff looks like crap. Plus everyone seems to draw digitally these days and I heavily prefer traditional art. I'm gonna be taking some art class this semester, maybe it'll get me more motivated, we'll see.
Don't like honoka but I like that pic lolFinished my Honoka posted it in the DOA Art thread also made a underwear version
