It's biased because he didn't use the characters skimpiest outfit for his example of previous games. For example, he used this as his example of Helena's skimpiest outfit from doa2

Helena's bikini was only in DOA2U (which came out after DOA3) while the first one (although it is a DOA2U picture) originated in DOA2 vanilla. He did mention the comparisons being from the character's first appearance.

The outfit being from added in DOA2U when it wasn't there before could actually be used as an argument of things getting "worse" again as opposed to DOA2 vanilla/HC and DOA3 where they chose not to have the swimwear as playable outfits.

But if you compared the ratio of skimpy to conservative outfits in doa2 (vanilla) compared to doa5 (vanilla) they would probably have a very similar ratio.
Admittedly doa3 didn't have many skimpy outfits, but doa3 didn't have many outfits period.
If you compared the default outfits of doa4 to doa5 (vanilla) you would probably see a higher ratio of skimpy outfits in doa4.
Most of the skimpy outfits in 5 came as dlc, which is optional, where as most of the default outfits were conservative. So I don't see that the game is getting that much more sexed up... at least in terms of the vanilla content.
But as I said originally, I'm not denying that the outfits are getting skimpier (at least in dlc terms). I just didn't like the way Darkton was putting a biased spin on it, when he could have made his point in a more honest manner.

The lack of a DOAX to satisfy the pervert (In which i count myself in haha) DOA5 became "more sexualized" than it's predecessors, all that thanks to the DLCs. Was it good or bad for the community ? Timer will tell, and this is not the subject here.
(pretty much 50/50 if you ask me cause DOAX also really destroy the licence's image)

Like i said before, i do see the "cloth breaking" mode coming, but maybe not for DOA5LR. The most "predictable" cooperation is the path of the DLC.
I think those 2 options are the most plausible one. Add a guess characters crossover and we're pretty much done with the "rationals", but who know ? What els could they come up with ?

The see-through skirt means her panties are still showing, which means she's wearing less and showing more thanks to the toplessness. Also, she has a FUCKING TOWEL.

No more skirt, and her top shows more. Not to mention this costume can malfunction and destroy other peoples bikinis, leaving them literally naked.
Kasumi

One of her outfits is a school swimsuit, too. Neither of them expose as much skin as the above. And don't forget that it also has a see-through skirt, and is a copy paste. It's like they didn't even consider her character.

The DOA1 one is a simple bikini, but the DOA5 one could be substituted for censor strips with the suspenders and very short shorts.

I have now wrapped up the original DOA1 cast. Scary, huh?

DOA2 Helena was a mature woman who was very adult-feminine. DOA5 Helena's just a slut who'll wear anything, including Christmas wrapping, aka the second worst theme of DLC.

And that was the only woman who got added to DOA2. Are you beginning to see my point?

Kasumi in black! A gender bender of a beloved male character, only she just looks like a human with wings, so it's okay to give her FUCKING RIBBONS! And a girl whose express purpose is to show how cool the new boob technology is!

The short answer is, "Yes, it's gotten worse." The long answer is, "Hayashi is a fucking pervert forcing Itagaki's daughter up to prostitution, literally forgetting he's not making an eroge. So yes, it's gotten worse."

In conclusion, let's discuss Senren Kagura. Save the tired argument for the thread where this is to be discussed.

The new SK game is out soon, so i bet we'll be fixed in a short time.

Do you guys think Ayane's, Kasumi's and hitomi Pre-order are see through skirts ? I thought they were just beach towel/thing and bikini. Same for tina. Wouldn't it be strange if these were panties ? I mean, it goes suddenly 10 levels higher in the "ero-metter" isn't it ?
Well we will only be able to tell when the game is out (detail changing = panty; no detail = swimsuit). I just thought it was unmistakably bikini so i'm surprised haha.

I'm sure that they are see-through skirt (without need of water) but the vestiary behind is considered part of the swimsuit and not customizable as a simple underwear; however like you said we can't be certain until the release.

She totally looks like it imo. If you look at that collectible card game, seems like all the girls have at least one rather generic schoolgirl uniform card and then a more... extravagant combat outfit (and some other fetish outfits on occasion)
And most of the characters also have that "cute 15+ anime girl with huge boobs" design... just like Honoka.

Tn would have mentioned it otherwise. I give you that she would fit in a SK cast, but no way she is the result from a collaboration. Man, a colab goal is to promote both game. Where do you see SK's promotion through Honoka ? Remember this is only a marketing strategy, nothing more, nothing else. If you are to even ask yourself "Oh is that the collaboration ?" this mean either that you're dumb as hell (which is obviously not the case cause' we are all asking this question to ourself) or the PUB is a ****ing fail of doom.
TN is very, very bad at communication. But I'm sure they're not stupid enough to fail something as simple as implement a marketing content in the game. Remember "ragnarok odyssey" collaboration, they did not let any place for questioning, even though Kasumi's outfit was shit haha

Yes, for the simple reasons stated from @Baal bal: on the paper nothing would prevent Honoka from being the result of the SNK collaboration (if not for not being a kunoichi, but there are hints about the possibility that that she could be the daughter of Raidou and inheriting her powers from him), but if no one is advertisinng it then this means that it's not the case.

HEY!!!! Senran Kagura is far from shitty, it is a pretty great and well made game series.

But that pic with the sign Mirai made was actually for SK: Estival Versus that is coming out in 2 months so TN used it first with Marie Rose tbh.

Well there is Murasame, but he is usually just a cameo and was only playable in Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson and I am not sure if he'll return in Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. But perhaps if it were costumes they could give this one to Ein?

Aside from them, Asuka's dad appears in some concept sketches, although not in-game. But aside from the apron, he looks pretty non-descript. Doesn't seem to have much costume potential, although Bass getting an apron labeled "PAPA" would be hilarious.

Hibari's rabbit Ninto is male, I think. Dunno if they'd give any of the guys a bunny-themed outfit though, lol

Lastly, there's also Katsuragi's dad, although he's never appeared on-screen and has no concept art (to my knowledge), and therefore has no design to pull a costume from.

Including Murasame, this is every SK male that I'm aware of. Did I miss anyone?

I would be surprised if it didn't, since the series has sold well for Xseed so far, although they haven't announced it yet. We're still a game behind though, since SK2 came out for 3DS in Japan last year, which they also haven't announced yet either. We'll likely see that first before we see Estival Versus, assuming they keep bringing over the games in release order.
