Pretty neat that they offered other DOA outfits as additional costumes.

The Chinese dress is just a generic cheongsam though, not Lei Fang's (the pattern isn't the same either). They've had them in every SK.

Interesting to note Ayane is the only character that doesn't get 'naked'. Even during stage finishers she is just reduced to her undergarments. She doesn't have a shinobi heart either, but apparently something is coming in a free patch later where it involves the dlc characters which I think is team scenarios. Also I think one of the few characters that has no transform.

Here is her main menu theme. She is already training for DoAX3.

ALL of them? Holy crap, there were 50. On the contrary, that would be a massive amount of work. Including all of the DLC characters, Estival Versus added 12 new playable characters, bringing the roster to 34. Only 12, which is the biggest roster expansion they've had in any main series game.

They'll surely make a handful of new wave girls playable here and there as the series goes on, but all 50 in one go is a pipe dream.

But at least in shinovi versus, most girls fought exactly the same, bit with arbitrarily different animations. And they all have the same character model as well.

Sometimes DOA/SK connection may have foreshadowed some characters' status in sequel, particularly:
*Phase 4: Her identity, Hairstyle and hair color
*Lisa: Though to be dead
*Kasumi & Momiji: Best friends, but no rivalry. Their clan are a long time allies, yeah?
*Ayane & Honoka: Related to Raidou. Maybe Ayane would follow a bit of Kasumi's
