DLC Costume Compatibility update is a MUST!!!!

There would be like a 70% increase in sales if they made DLC costumes compatible with everyone.

I would have purchased ALL of them if everyone could see them.

Whenever I watch a tournament video and one of the girls are wearing the DLC costumes im like holy fucking shit!! they look amazing!

Let me see if I understand you. You say that if you purchase a DLC costume pack and go online your opponent could also use those costumes? How you think anyone will pay for a thing that they can have for free under specific conditions?
Or you want to buy a "bikini" constume to use on everygirl, a "suit" costume to use on everyguy, a "kitty" costume to use on everyone( this could be odd)...

You didn't understand him/her. A compatibility update means that you can see the DLC costumes on others, but you can't use them yourself. Presently, if you haven't bought a DLC pack and someone chooses a costume from it, you only see the characters 1. (or is it 2.?) costume.

And I agree, it is a must and would mean more profits for TN.

I still wouldn't buy them, but at least I wouldn't have to look at everyone's C1 half the time. Tecmo's greed will be their downfall though. After this display I'll be sure to avoid buying DOA6 if the PS4 is hacked before then.

You're required to purchase the map packs if you want to play with other players on those map packs in First Person Shooters like Call of Duty, or in Rock Band where all of the players in an online session must have the song in order to play it (So you might own 3000 songs but if one member of your 5 member party only has 300 songs then you can only choose from those 300).

It's either you'll be paying for an unlock code or you'll be downloading new content with the expectation that other people have it. SSF4 did it where you received a message every time a player was in a match and had purchased a costume that you had not purchased yet. Every time whether you're an opponent or a spectator, which is more annoying.

However, a compatibility pack is the best choice of three evils, so I'm for that. However, it seems that Team NINJA would rather not release the content for free regardless of the amount of sales it might increase due to the extra exposure and awareness.

Yeah, like...I only play Mila...so I'm only getting packs with mila costumes. SO, I'll never see the other costumes because I'm not buying the packs. Would be nice to see other people using them due to a compatibility pack, though.

I'm glad that DoA5 doesn't offer free comp-packs. I hate the DLC outfits. Lazy, receyceld, uncreative (and overpriced). I don't like Ayanes schoogirl outfit for example (or outfits of this kind in general) and I'm glad that I don't have to see them online :)

...and I get all the costume DLC regardless of whether it's for a character I play or not because I DO want to see what costumes other people choose. A very expensive compatibility pack that is :(.

Technically it appears such a simple thing to do to have all costumes and only be allowed to use them yourself when you have an unlock key of some kind. It's done in the game anyway as you progress. The amount of data for any one costume is trivial in any case so it's not a question of long delays during updates. I guess it was an oversight.

And yet, then you have just as many people complaining about having to pay for an unlock key to content they already have on the disc.

And who's to say they had the costumes done before the game released?

That, or maybe they had to rush? I don't know. I mean, Dead or Alive plays heavily on the outfits... I mean to include something that shows off outfits online even if everyone hasn't purchased them would have just been something I would have made from the get-go.

I just bought all of them and have 2000 more microsoft points waiting for more =).

These costumes are like cars, when you see a picture of them they look okay but when you see them in game like tinas christmas costume, fucking greaaat!

Also it would be nice, for the paupers who don't have online, if the ai actually used the dlc outfits.
